On Friday 5th of May a total of 13 teams participated in the Te Aroha Junior Soccer Fun Day. With over 100 Stanley Ave students of all ages involved it was fabulous to see so many of our children getting out and enjoying being active. As I was watching the games I couldn't help but think of our Stanley Avenue Learner dimensions, Team Player, Connected, Communicator and Strive to Succeed, watching our children apply their understanding of these in this setting was great to see.

Each team played a total of 4 games and congratulations to two of our intermediate teams who went through undefeated, an excellent achievement. A special congratulations must go to Team F of our Intermediate competition who were eventual winners of their pool. Well Done!

After several conversations with the children at the end of the day it was evident that every child had a blast and enjoyed being a part of the day.

A special thank you to the Mrs Hedley, Mr Ryburn, Mrs Graumans, Mrs Eagle, Mrs de Boer, Mrs Sweeney, Mr Gore, Mr Van Bysterveldt, Mrs Crene, Mrs White, and Mrs Thorne who took the time to be managers for the day, your time and effort was much appreciated by the children and the school..
